Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

  • Diagnosis
  • CareFabric Monitor
Scenario 1: Task List - Bedboard Alert setup for Task List widget through CarePOV Management
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Access the 'CarePOV Management' form.
  2. Select the 'Client Alerts' tab.
  3. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  4. Select "New Orders (1)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  5. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  6. Validate "New Order" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  7. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  8. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  9. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  10. Select "Stat Orders (2)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  11. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  12. Validate "Stat Order" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  13. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  14. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  15. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  16. Select "Pregnant (11)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  17. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  18. Validate "Pregnancy" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  19. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  20. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  21. Close the form.
  22. Select "Client A" and access the 'Update Client Data' form.
  23. Validate "Female" is selected from the 'Sex' field.
  24. Select "Pregnant" from the 'Pregnancy Status' field and click [Submit].
  25. Access the Order Entry Console.
  26. Search for and select "ADVIL MIGRAINE 200 MG CAPSULE, LIQUID FILLED ORAL" from the 'New Order' field.
  27. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  28. Select "Tablet" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
  29. Select "TWICE A DAY" from the 'Freq' field.
  30. Set the 'Duration' field to "1" and click [Days].
  31. Click [Add to Scratchpad]
  32. Search for and select "Lisinopril 5 MG Tablet ORAL" from the 'New Order' field.
  33. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  34. Select "TABLET" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
  35. Select "STAT" from the 'Freq' field.
  36. Validate the 'Duration' field contains "1" and [Days] is selected.
  37. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  38. Validate the 'Order grid' contains an order for "ADVIL MIGRAINE 200 MG CAPSULE, LIQUID FILLED Tablet, TWICE A DAY".
  39. Validate the 'Order grid' contains an order for "Lisinopril 5 MG ORAL Tablet, STAT".
  40. Access the 'Task List' widget.
  41. Search for and select "Client A" from the 'Search Patients' field.
  42. Validate a 'Pregnancy' alert is displayed for the selected patient.
  43. Validate a 'New Orders' alert is displayed for the "Advil Migraine" order.
  44. Validate a 'Stat Orders' alert is displayed for the "Lisinopril" order.
Scenario 2: CarePOV Management - Ordering Client Alerts with Display Order
Specific Setup:
  • Avatar CWS 2021 Update 95, Avatar CareFabric 2021 Update 83, and RADplus 2021 Update 130 are needed in order to utilize full functionality.
  • The 'RADplus->Chart->Chart View->->->Populate Chart Header with Currently Selected Episode' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Client Lookup/Header Configuration Manager' form.
  2. Select the 'Client Header' tab and click [Add New Item].
  3. Select "Bed Board Alerts" from the 'Field to Include in Client Header' field and click [Field Order].
  4. Select "Column 4, Position 2" from the 'Field Order' field and click [Submit].
  5. Access the 'CarePOV Management' form.
  6. Select the 'Client Alerts' tab.
  7. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  8. Select "Alcohol Detox (5)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  9. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  10. Validate "Diagnosis/Problem" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  11. Validate "Alcohol dependence with uncomplicated withdrawal" is selected from the 'Selected Diagnosis' field.
  12. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  13. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  14. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  15. Select "Pregnant (11)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  16. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  17. Validate "Pregnancy" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  18. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  19. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  20. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  21. Select "Allergy (12)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  22. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  23. Validate "Allergy" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  24. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  25. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  26. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  27. Select "New Orders (1)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  28. Validate "Yes" is selected from the 'Active' field.
  29. Validate "New Order" is selected from the 'Alert Type' field.
  30. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field and click [Save].
  31. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  32. Close the form.
  33. Validate a message is displayed stating: "Are you sure you want to Close without saving?" and click [Yes].
  34. Select "Client A" and access the 'Diagnosis' form.
  35. Click [Add].
  36. Select "Update" from the 'Type Of Diagnosis' field.
  37. Set the 'Date Of Diagnosis' field to the current date.
  38. Set the 'Time Of Diagnosis' field to the current time.
  39. Click [New Row].
  40. Search for and select "Alcohol dependence with uncomplicated withdrawal" from the 'Diagnosis Search' field.
  41. Complete all other required fields and click [Submit].
  42. Access the 'Update Client Data' form.
  43. Validate "Female" is selected from the 'Sex' field.
  44. Select "Pregnant" from the 'Pregnancy Status' field and click [Submit].
  45. Access the Order Entry Console.
  46. Search for and select "XANAX 1 MG TABLET ORAL" from the 'New Order' field.
  47. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  48. Select "MG" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
  49. Select "TWICE A DAY" from the 'Freq' field.
  50. Set the 'Duration' field to "1" and click [Days].
  51. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  52. Validate the 'Order grid' contains and order for "XANAX 1 MG ORAL TABLET, TWICE A DAY".
  53. Access the 'HomeView' and click [Clear Client].
  54. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  55. Validate the 'Client Header' contains 'Client Alerts' in the following order: 1. New Orders (XANAX) 2. Alcohol Detox 3. Pregnant 4. Allergy (Please see allergies.).
  56. Access the 'Task List' widget.
  57. Search for and select "Client A" from the 'Search Patients' field.
  58. Validate the 'Client Card' contains 'Bedboard Alerts' in the following order: 1. Alcohol Detox 2. Pregnant 3. News Orders - XANAX 4. Allergy - Please see allergies.
  59. Access the 'CarePOV Management' form.
  60. Select the 'Client Alerts' tab.
  61. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  62. Select "Alcohol Detox (5)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  63. Select "2" from the 'Display Order' field and click [Save].
  64. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  65. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  66. Select "Pregnant (11)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  67. Select "2" from the 'Display Order' field.
  68. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Display Order 2 is already in use by this Client Alert: Alcohol Detox. Please select a different Display Order." and click [OK].
  69. Select "1" from the 'Display Order' field and click [Save].
  70. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  71. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  72. Select "New Orders (1)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  73. Select "None" from the 'Display Order' field and click [Save].
  74. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  75. Select "Edit" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  76. Select "Allergy (12)" from the 'Client Alert' field.
  77. Select "10" from the 'Display Order' field and click [Save].
  78. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  79. Close the form.
  80. Validate a message is displayed stating: "Are you sure you want to Close without saving?" and click [Yes].
  81. Click [Clear Client].
  82. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  83. Validate the 'Client Header' contains 'Client Alerts' in the following order: 1. Pregnant 2. Alcohol Detox 3. Allergy (Please see allergies.) 4. New Orders (XANAX).
  84. Log out of the application and log back in.
  85. Access the 'Task List' widget.
  86. Search for and select "Client A" from the 'Search Patients' field.
  87. Validate the 'Client Card' contains 'Bedboard Alerts' in the following order: 1. Pregnant 2. Alcohol Detox 3. Allergy - Please see allergies. 4. News Orders - XANAX.
Scenario 3: Validating 'Display Order' for Bedboard Alerts in 'EhrBedBoardStayUpdated' CareFabric payload
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Access the 'CarePOV Management' form.
  2. Select the 'Client Alerts' section.
  3. Select "Add" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  4. Set the 'Client Alert Description' field to "Test01".
  5. Select any icon from the 'Select Icon' field.
  6. Select "Order Code" from the 'Alert Type' field.
  7. Select "No" from the 'Include in Client Header' field.
  8. Search for and select "XANAX 2 MG TABLET ORAL" from the 'Select Order Code' field and click [Save].
  9. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  10. Select "Add" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  11. Set the 'Client Alert Description' field to "Test02".
  12. Select any icon from the 'Select Icon' field.
  13. Select "Order Code" from the 'Alert Type' field.
  14. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field.
  15. Search for and select "XANAX 2 MG TABLET ORAL" from the 'Select Order Code' field and click [Save].
  16. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  17. Select "Add" from the 'Add or Edit Alert' field.
  18. Set the 'Client Alert Description' field to "Test03".
  19. Select any icon from the 'Select Icon' field.
  20. Select "Order Code" from the 'Alert Type' field.
  21. Select "Yes" from the 'Include in Client Header' field.
  22. Select "5" from the 'Display Order' field.
  23. Search for and select "XANAX 2 MG TABLET ORAL" from the 'Select Order Code' field and click [Save].
  24. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Saved." and click [OK].
  25. Click [Discard].
  26. Validate a message is displayed that states: "Are you sure you want to Close without saving?" and click [Yes].
  27. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  28. Search for and select "XANAX 2 MG TABLET ORAL" from the 'New Order' field.
  29. Set the 'Dose' field to "2".
  30. Select "MG" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
  31. Select "TWICE A DAY" from the 'Freq' field.
  32. Set the 'Duration' field to "14" and click [Days].
  33. Click [Open Dashboard] for "Client A".
  34. Validate that a 'Client Alert' labeled "Test02" is displayed in the 'Client Header'.
  35. Validate that a 'Client Alert' labeled "Test03" is displayed in the 'Client Header'.
  36. Click [Close] and select the 'myDay' tab.
  37. Access the 'CareFabric Monitor' form.
  38. Set the 'From Date' and 'Through Date' fields to the current date.
  39. Search for and select "Client A" from the 'Client ID' field and click [View Activity Log].
  40. Validate the Avatar NX Report Viewer is launched in a new window.
  41. Click the Last Page button.
  42. Click the most recent 'Click To View Record' link for 'Activity Type': "EhrBedBoardStayUpdated" and 'Type/Direction': "Event/Out".
  43. Validate a new tab is opened with the payload.
  44. Validate there is a 'bedBoardAlerts' array that contains multiple values for different Bed Board Alerts.
  45. Validate the first 'bedBoardAlerts' index contains the following properties, "classifications": [ { "type": "DisplayOrder", "value": "{a number greater than ten}" } ], "displayName": "Test01 (XANAX)".
  46. Validate the second 'bedBoardAlerts' index contains the following properties, "classifications": [ { "type": "DisplayOrder", "value": "{a number greater than ten}" } ], "displayName": "Test02 (XANAX)".
  47. Validate the first 'bedBoardAlerts' index contains the following properties, "classifications": [ { "type": "DisplayOrder", "value": "5" } ], "displayName": "Test03 (XANAX)".
  48. Close the CareFabric Monitor Report.
