Product Update Form Description

The following issues are resolved: 1) An issue in the Scheduling Calendar that may allow staff only appointments to be opened by multiple users at the same time. Please Note: Avatar PM 2022 Update 68/Avatar Cal-PM Update 35 is required to resolve this issue. 2) An issue in 'Appointment Management' that may prevent appointment and staff locks from releasing when the grid is saved.

An issue is resolved in the Scheduling Calendar to ensure that 'staff only' appointments can no longer be opened by multiple users at the same time. Please Note: Avatar PM 2022 Update 68/Avatar Cal-PM Update 35 is required to resolve this issue.

'Scheduling Calendar' will display a message when opening 'staff only' appointments.
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • App Dashboard
Scenario 1: Scheduling Calendar - Staff Only appointments: validate 'Details/Edit' can only be edited by one user at a time.
Specific Setup:
  • For Avatar PM facilities: Avatar PM 2022 Update 68 is required to resolve this issue.
  • For Avatar Cal-PM facilities: Avatar Cal-PM Update 35 is required to resolve this issue.
  • Two users (User 1 and User 2) have permissions to view other practitioner's schedules in the "Scheduling Calendar".
  • A 'Staff Only' appointment has been added to one of the practitioner's schedule.
  • Both users are logged in.
Steps
  1. Both users should have the 'Scheduling Calendar' opened.
  2. User 1: right click on the 'Staff Only' appointment.
  3. Select 'Details/Edit'. Do not change anything, and leave the form open.
  4. User 2: right click on the same 'Staff Only' appointment.
  5. Select 'Details/Edit'.
  6. User 2 will see a message: 'The appointment is currently locked by: User 1. Editing is unavailable at this time.'
  7. Click [OK] to exit the message.
  8. User 1: exit the form.
  9. User 2: right click on the same 'Staff Only' appointment.
  10. Select 'Details/Edit'. The form will open for User 2.

Scenario 1: 'Appointment Management' database locks - validate release of database locks when exiting the grid.
Specific Setup:
  • Multiple appointments on file for any practitioner.
Steps
  1. Open 'Appointment Management' form.
  2. Open 'Current Database Locks' form.
  3. In the 'Appointment Management' form:
  4. Select the practitioner with multiple appointments on file in the 'Practitioner' field.
  5. Set the 'Appointment Start Date' to a date in the past, such that multiple appointments will display in the grid.
  6. Set the 'Appointment End Date' to the current date.
  7. Click [Add/Edit Appointments].
  8. Change the 'Date' fields on 2 or more appointments.
  9. Click [Save].
  10. Remain in the form. Note that all fields will be blank.
  11. In the 'Current Database Locks' form:
  12. Click [Update Display].
  13. Verify that no database locks are displayed for the 'Appointment Management' form.
  14. Close the 'Current Database Locks' form.
  15. Close the 'Appointment Management' form.
