Generate current Unit Census - PM

Generate a real-time report showing who is assigned to each unit/room/bed in the facility. Since it real-time, there are no date parameters. The system calculates the length of stay from the date the client was admitted. This is used for Inpatient/Residential reporting.

To see the outpatient census, take a look at the Official Census Report. Within this report you can select Inpatient, Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization census data for clients in programs that are associated to one of these treatment settings.

Note: The Current Unit Census reports the current residential population of the units in the system. Clients can only be assigned to units for inpatient or partial hospitalization programs. The only way for the client to show on the report is for the client to be admitted to an inpatient or partial hospitalization episode.

  1. Go to Avatar PM > Client Management > Census Management Reports.
  2. In the For Individual Unit Or All field, select All or Individual units to be included in the report.
  3. If Individual is selected, in the For Unit field, select the unit.
  4. Select Process.
    Result: The report lists admissions, discharges, and transfers for the unit on the date the report is run. It contains the following sub-reports:
    • Activity - Activity in the unit over the past 24 hours.
    • Unit Census - Current unit client population.
    • Current Unit Census Summary Totals - Current summaries for a unit.

Report column "LOS" = Length Of Stay (in days)
