Educate the client

Client education provides detailed information about the medication and its possible effects.

• Client Education is not required and does not prevent the administration of an order.
• The Patient Education Prompting registry setting determines if the Client Education windows displays upon administration. If set to Yes, the Client Education window displays until the administering practitioner enters a response.

1. Right-click in the Order Description box and choose Client Education from the popup menu.
2. Indicate whether the client has been informed about the medication and click OK.
