Administration overview

Orders administered in myAvatar eMAR are prescribed by the practitioner in the myAvatar Clinician Workstation (CWS) Order Entry module.

  • The practitioner can add, remove, or renew orders at any time in the Order Entry system.
  • Clients are listed in eMAR according to filter selections. To be listed in eMAR, a client must be located in a unit and have at least one active order on the selected date.
  • Active orders have a start date before or equal to the administration date and a stop date equal to or later than the administration date.
  • Orders are considered active for an administration date if:
    • The order start date is before or equal to the order administration data.
    • The order stop date is equal to or later than the order administration date.
    • The order has a discontinue date equal to or later than the order administration date.
    • Stop and Discontinue dates can be set for a future date. If an order contains both a stop date and discontinue date, the earlier date and time are used as the order effective stop date and time.
