Neuro Exam - STD module

In the STD module, the Neuro form is where you document your findings from the patient's neurological exam. This exam is required for all suspected or confirmed syphilis cases.

On the main menu navigate to Physical Exam > Neuro.

Document a neurological exam

  1. For the Neuro Exam item, select whether the exam has been completed or has not been performed. 
  2. If you select Completed, all of the exam items default to Normal and can be changed. If you select Not Performed, in the Reason Neuro Exam Not Performed box that appears, enter an explanation.
  3. For each of the exam areas, select whether the patient's status is Normal or Abnormal. If Abnormal, enter an explanation in the box provided.

    • Pupillary Reaction
    • EOMs
    • Gross Hearing Acuity
    • Palate Lift
    • Shoulder Shrug
    • Tongue Protrusion
    • Neck flexion
    • Sensory / Motor
    • Deep tendon reflexes
    • Tandem walk
    • Finger nose
    • Romberg
  4. On the toolbar above the menu, click the Save icon .
