Medications - STD module
In the STD module, the Medications form under History is where you record the patient's medication history.
On the main menu navigate to History > Medications.
- The medication names are supplied by OrderConnect.
- Click a medication in the grid to display the details, including the start date, end date, and frequency of admission.
Check medications
- For the Checked meds before prescribing item, select Yes if you checked the patient's medications.
- For the Received antibiotics in past 2 weeks item, select Yes if the patient received such medications during that time period.
Add a medication history
- Below the Medication History panel, click Add Entry.
- In the Search Medications box, enter all or part of the medication name. Click Search.
- In the Medication Search Results box, select the medication. The medication name appears in the Selected Medication field.
- In the Entry Date box, enter the date you recorded the medication information. Optionally click the previous and next arrows or the calendar icon
to select a date. To clear the date, click the X.
- In the End Date box, enter the date the patient stopped taking the medication. Optionally click the previous and next arrows or the calendar icon
to select a date. To clear the date, click the X.
- For the Frequency of Administration item, select the appropriate choice.
- In the Notes box, enter additional information.
Note: To clear the entry and start over, click Reset. To discard the entry, click Cancel.
- Click Save Entry. The medication is added to the grid.
