Foster Care Defaults

Specify the data that will be defaulted into various forms throughout the Foster Care Module.

1. Go to: Avatar MSO > System Maintenance > Foster Care Defaults
2. In the Default Placement Service field, search for and select the default service for a foster care placement. The services in this field are set up via the CPT Code Definition form.
3. In the Default Funding Source field, search for and select the default funding source for a foster care placement.
4. In the Default License Type For Claims field, select the default license type for claims. This is a required default because the field is hidden on some Foster Care forms where no claims are generated. 
5. In the Default Type Of Authorization field, select the default type of authorization. This is a required default because the field is hidden on some Foster Care forms where no claims are generated. 
6. In the Default Adjustment Code field, select the default adjustment code from the list of current adjustment codes in MSO. This code is used to remove the charges if services for the foster child are deleted.
7. Click Submit.
