About Provisioning in CareConnect Inbox

After completing Organization Registration, a System Administrator must provision direct email addresses for CareConnect Inbox users to be able to send and receive external messages. This is done securely via MedAllies Direct (HISP).  After you create a direct email address, you cannot modify it.

There are three options:

  • Direct Address (Edit) option: Allows a System Administrator to determine the name on the address before the “@” symbol.
    This is configurable on a user-by-user basis.
  • Active: Allows a System Administrator to determine whether an address is active.
    Inactive addresses cannot be used to send and/or receive external messages.
  • Published: Allows a System Administrator to determine if the direct address is published on the MedAllies Directory. .

Note: Best practice is to publish all direct addresses.
