General Ledger Interface Components
Use this form to select the general categories to interface with the third party accounting program. These general categories or “Treatment Strings” are the main interface components that make up the Charge and Payment/Adjustment Interface Files used by the third party accounting program.
Treatment strings can be selected in any order.
Treatment string components must be defined in order to use the table import function in the General Ledger Account Numbers form.
You will need to select the components that will match up with your Third Party Accounting Program. The example below is using two treatment strings: Program and Location and is including the Financial Class within the G/L Interface components.
Note: The greater the number of interface components, the greater the number of entries. It is the recommended best practice to use the least amount of components necessary.

- In the Number of Treatment String Items To Be Included Within General Ledger Interface Components field, select the number of components to include. The components are treatment string related items. Up to five different components can be selected.
- Select the specific components in the 'Treatment String Item' fields. These are enabled based on the number selected in the previous field.
- In the Include Fin. Class Or Guarantor Within G/L Interface Components field, select whether to include Financial Class, Guarantor, or neither.
- Once you have selected the components, click Submit to save the data.
