Old and new inbound HL7 Processing messages

The following table describes the old and new messages for inbound HL7 processing.

Old Message New Message

Route {route}, stated for medication {medication name} with NDC code {code} is incorrect.

Please verify in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) that the route is correct for medication {medication name}

The route is not stated for medication {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Please verify in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) that the route is correct for medication {medication name}

The dose is not stated for medication {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Please verify in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) that the dose is correct for medication {medication name}

Cannot find frequency by HL7 abbreviation for medication {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Please verify in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) that the frequency is correct for medication {medication name}

There is more than one frequency with the same HL7 abbreviation for medication {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Please verify in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) that the frequency is correct for medication {medication name}

Discount date and time is not stated for medication {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Please add the end date and time in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) for medication {medication name}

Medication {medication name} with GPI code {code} does not exist or on hold for the patient.

The medication {medication name} cannot be populated into Patient>Clinical>Medications because either this is an update (change or discontinue) to a Medication and the Medication never existed in Patient>Clinical>Medications or the medication is currently on hold.

Either enter the original medication details or release the hold and then the message can be completed in Edit HL7.

Medication {medication name} with NDC code {code} does not exist or on hold for the patient.

The medication {medication name} cannot be populated into Patient>Clinical>Medications because either this is an update (change or discontinue) to a Medication and the Medication never existed in Patient>Clinical>Medications or the medication is currently on hold.

Either enter the original medication details or release the hold and then the message can be completed in Edit HL7.

There is more than one medication {medication name} with NDC code {code} for the patient.

Warning, please review Patient>Clinical >Medications because the same medication {medication name} already exists for the patient.

Medication {medication name} with NDC code {code} does not exist.

The medication {medication name} cannot be populated into Patient>Clinical>Medications because the HL7 message does not contain the correct NDC code. Please contact your vendor to obtain the correct NDC code (or edit Administration>Clinical>Medications) and then Edit HL7 message (NDC code field on Patient>Patient's Medications tab) and click Complete.

There is more than one medication {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Warning, please review Patient>Clinical >Medications because the same medication {medication name} already exists for the patient.

Medication row is null

HL7 message does not contain any medication data or internal error appeared and the message cannot be completed. Please contact the vendor who initiated the message

Route {route}, is not default for medication  {medication name} with NDC code {code}.

Please verify in the Edit HL7 message (Patient>Patient's Medications tab) that the route is correct for medication {medication name}

The system will not add the medication. There is already the medication {medication name} with NDC code {code} for the patient.

Warning, please review Patient>Clinical >Medications because the same medication {medication name} already exists for the patient.

Medication with the action type '{action type}' can not be processed and will be skipped

Please verify with your vendor that the appropriate medication action was sent. We only support New, Changed and Discontinued medication messages

In the original message, Business Unit was not provided. Processing message using Netsmart Health Homecare Business Unit

Warning: The Business Unit was not specified, so the default Business Unit will be used
