Section Option Description
Patient Identifiers   Select the First and Second Identifiers from the drop downs if not already complete

Auto Complete Inbound messages

Auto complete HL7 messages with no errors If this setting is selected, any error free message will automatically be integrated into the patient record (in this instance a medication will be added to Patient>Clinical>Medications)
Auto Complete Inbound messages With warnings If this setting is selected and there is a warning message, the message will display and will still automatically integrate into the patient record
Medication processing Use GPI code for identification of a medication If this setting is selected, the GPI codes will be also be used to identify the medication being ordered (processed)
Medication processing Allow empty dose, frequency and route for Medi-Span medications

If this setting is selected, medications can be processed without a dose, frequency and route being specified. Otherwise, you will get a message that the “dose, frequency, route” is not stated in the message. (Please make sure that under  Administration>Configuration>Business Unit> Settings>Medications the Required Dose, Unit and Route check box is not selected when entering Medi-Span medications).

Note: If this is temporarily not functioning correctly, issue 171691, HL7 clients are using “-” in place of the dose unit and route as a workaround.
