Document Patient Comfort Level 48 hours

Path: Patient>Clinical>Quality Measures

Prerequisite: To access the Quality Measures window, you need to have the appropriate privileges granted by the Netsmart Homecare administrator.

  1. In the Patient component, select the needed patient.
  2. Go to Clinical>Quality Measures. The Comfort Level window opens with the documented initial comfort level. Note: Within 48 hrs section becomes active if Yes is selected for the Are you uncomfortable because of pain? question.
  3. Check the patient's ability to self-report, and then in the Within 48 hrs section, select the appropriate check box. Depending on your selection, do one of the following:
    1. No – Specify the reason why a patient cannot self-report, and then save your changes. Note: You can select the reason from the drop-down list or select Other, and then type the reason manually.
    2. Yes – Check if the patient's pain was brought to a comfortable level, and then select the appropriate answer.
  4. Click Change to open the Select Date Dialog, and then assign the comfort level record to a visit or resource. You can also use the Select Service Dialog to connect the comfort level record to a visit.
  5. Save your changes.
