Create a recurring task

After creating a recurring task via the Front Desk, events are scheduled out into the future. To manage the recurring task, use Recurring Task Setup to complete any of the following scenarios:

  • Remove all of the scheduled appointments; modify the end date of the recurring task to be the same start date to remove all scheduled events.
  • Keep some of the scheduled appointments; modify the end date so that it equals the date of the last valid appointment, which will remove all scheduled appointments.
  • Modify the schedule so that events are scheduled differently; modify the end date to be the same as the start date or rather as the last correct appointment, which would remove all scheduled appointments past the new date, and then make changes and change the Providing care end date again which will create the appointment again.
  1. Go to: Client > Case Management > Plan Development > Recurring Task Setup.
  2. Search for and select a client.
  3. In the toolbar, select New and choose Recurring Task.
  4. In the Recurring Tasks dialog, complete any relevant information. The following fields are required:
  • Description - Enter a description for the recurring task.
  • Staff Responsible - Search for and select a staff member from the Staff - Service Providers by Staff ID dialog.
  • Tasks to be Scheduled - Select a task from the Event Definitions with Security dialog.
  • Scheduled Time - Select a time from the Time Picker.
  • Duration - Enter the amount of time in minutes.
  • Recurrence Type - Select a recurrence from the list, such as daily, monthly, yearly, and so on.

Note: Depending on your selections above, the following fields may also be required:

  • Program Responsible - Select a program from the Program by Client's Service Track and Service dialog.
  • Facility Providing Service - Select a facility in the Provider Sites by Program dialog. 
  1. Select Save.
