Grant Access to the New Button

When you provide Add Allowed access in a Navigation Scheme, you are giving a user the privileges to add a new record to a client chart (for example, adding a new diagnosis for that client). In contrast, providing Access to New Button refers to adding a new value to system tables. Meaning, the New Button provides access to add to lists that all users with access can choose from (for example, adding a new diagnosis to the system list).

Note: Access to the New Button for system-defined services (such as NYSCRI events that a user cannot modify), allows access to a record in a chart.

Menu paths:
  • Agency Setup > Staff and Security Setup > Navigation Access > Access to New Button
  • Setup Security/Access >  Navigation Access Setup > Access to New Button
  1. Go to one of the above listed modules, then search for and select the Navigation Scheme to configure.
  2. Select the rows in the Has Access column as appropriate.
    • Use the hyperlink in the Look-Up Name column to see more information about the form set, like what module it's in and the report parameters associated with that form set.
  3. Click Save.
