Set up Agency Dispense Settings
If your agency has purchased myAM for medication dispensing, you can configure the system settings here.

Configure the Agency Medication / Dispense Settings
This area of Agency Setup allows you to enable the medication dispensing function and set some system defaults.
- Navigate to the following path: Agency Setup > Agency > Agency > Agency Information.
- As necessary, in the toolbar, click Select Agency and select the appropriate agency.
- Select the Medication/Dispense Settings tab.
- Complete any of the following settings as appropriate:
- Is Dispense Enabled - Select this option to enable the medication dispensing function. This option is automatically selected.
- First Day of the Week for Dispense - Enter the start of the week for the billing cycle. Typically, this setting is relevant only for face visits. This setting is controlled by the ap plan rates are setup and provides the ability to charge a different rate for the first dispense of the week. When claims are produced, the system will find the first record created for a First Day of the Week face visit from that day going forward. All other face visits that occur after that first one will use the normal plan rate line item setup.
Release Consideration - The ability to charge a different rate for the first dispense of the week is available with myEvolv versions 9.0.8175 and higher.
- Days Before Order Expiration Date to Show Warning - Enter the number of days prior to a medication expiration that the system will send an automatic warning.
- Maximum Days for Medication Order to Expire - Enter the maximum number of days allowed when entering an expiration date of a medication order.
- Maximum Consecutive Take Home Doses per Order - Enter a maximum number of take home doses the system will allow between clinic visits.
- Allow Backdating for Container Transactions - Select this checkbox to allow a user o backdate dispensing transactions. This setting is useful when a system or power outage occurs and you manually dispense, but enter the system transaction at a later date.
- Maximum Number of Consecutive Missed Doses Allowed - Enter the number of missed doses the system allows. When a client misses this number of doses, the system creates a Major Restriction on the client’s record and prevents dispensing until the restriction is marked with an End Date.
- Holiday Scheduling Rules - Select the policy for scheduling doses during a holiday, such as Reschedule to the previous day or convert clinic doses to take home doses.
- Holiday Scheduling Rules for Monthly Doses - For medications, such as Vivitrol that are dispensed monthly and administered with a syringe, the client cannot take the dosage at home. In this case, you can set up monthly dosage medications, for either the day before or the day after a scheduled holiday. Note that Once the holiday is set, if it is removed, the new schedules do not revert back to the original schedule days.
Release Consideration: The Holiday Scheduling Rules for Monthly Doses selection is available with myEvolv versions 9.0.8170 and higher.
- BAC Warning Level - Enter the warning limit when you enter the BAC on the Dispensing screen.
- Allow prepours - Select this option to enable prepouring functionality for medication doses in the Dispensing screen
- Allow prepours to be relabeled to other patients? - Select this option to enable the ability to print a new label on a prepour for a different patient.
- Enable capturing signatures for dispensing - Select this option to capture the signature of the client on the Dispensing screen. Here facility staff may sign off on service events.
Release Consideration: With myEvolv versions 9.0.8175 and later, staff may sign on service events.
