Override Cost Centers and Program Units

 

Release Consideration: As of versions 9.0.8185 and later, you can override a cost center or program unit. 

Overriding the cost center and program unit identified on the Account Information tab in Claim Maintenance allows you to define different cost centers or program units for specific payers/plans for a single program operating in the selected facility. For billing, the system will accept the override setup first and if setup not found, use what’s defined on BPPSL.

Agency > Service Locations > Sites/Residentials > General Information

Override a Cost Center and Program Unit

  1. Navigate to the following path: Agency > Service Locations > Sites/Residentials > General Information.

  2. In the toolbar, click Select a Facility and select a facility from the list.

  3. On the Programs/Services Operated tab, select information for the following fields:

  • Program Unit - Click the ellipses and select a unit code from the list.
  • Cost Center Override - Click the ellipses and select a Cost Center Code from the list.
