Master Treatment Planning
Master Treatment Planning provides the ability to identify agency-wide, overarching goals for an individual receiving services. Master Treatment Plans identify these overarching goals, while there are separate but linked program-level plans which identify the specifics of how these goals will be met. The different programs may address different long-term goals.
This functionality can be useful in any situation where there is a common intervention, service, or treatment plan amongst programs or where the plan is mandated or developed by an outside entity.
Note: This article specifically addresses agencies who want to have both a Master plan and program-level plans. However, you can create one agency-level plan with no program-level plans. If that functionality is desired, then the setup is to create a program (named master planning or something similar), and link one treatment plan to that program. The remainder of the setup referenced in this document will not be necessary.

‘Consumer Activity’ in Program – Level Plan
(Terminology Subject to Change by Agency if desired)
This is the area within the program level plan where the program identifies which of the overall goals will be addressed within the Program Plan. This overall goal will be pulled from the Valued Outcomes area of the Master Plan. The Program Plan will then continue on, detailing specific steps that will be taken that will lead to success, as defined by the overarching plan.
Example:
(There could be multiple Master Treatment Plan Goals, and/or multiple Program Goals, Objectives, and Methods).
Note that the Program Level plans can be updated individually, but will not feed back into the Agency Plan.
