835 Remittance With Void Acceptance

Billing Authorization SubReports
The SubReports on Service Events will reflect Authorizations consumed. Expired Authorization Alerts will identify which type of unit is expiring, Header or Detail. Please see KB0067318 on Netsmart Portal.
When a service event form has a SubReport using Billing Authorizations, the "Units Used" and "Units Left" will display and correspond to Billing Authorization Reports.
The "Authorization Expiration" Alerts will differentiate between units expiring by the "Type: Header" or the "Type" Detail".

Scheduled Billing Runs And Billing Authorizations
When executing a scheduled billing run, the step to create Mirror Services/Billing will identify, but not consume, Billing Authorization units as expected.
The Mirror Services/Billing step in Scheduled Billing Run will check for, but not decrease the number of authorized units for a Client.

835 Remittance Import And Deposit Slip
When the Deposit Slip created via an 835 import is deleted, the corresponding claim transactions and 835 file will also be deleted.
Deleting a Deposit Batch that is linked to an 835 Remittance import will also cascade delete the 835 file and claim transactions from that import.

The "Family Case" form family can be opened in NX Form Designer.

GL Adjust Remittance Action
The "GL Adjust" is available for claims with a status of "Denied".
"GL Adjust" action is available to address remittance processing where a claim needs action "Resubmit to Other" and the resubmitted amount is greater than the current balance.
GL Adjust action is available in myAR Outstanding Balance and Apply Receipt to Claims.

Override Colors are Displayed in Front Desk Calendar

Authorization Override
When a claim is linked to a "Billing Authorization" that has the "Override" amount defined, that amount will be used to write the "GL Transactions". Please see KB0066662 on Netsmart Portal.
The "GL Transactions" on a claim using "Billing Authorization" will be determined by the "Override Rate Information" when present.

835 Upload
System now allows you to upload 835 files from different receivers in the same upload batch.

999 Acknowledgement File Filters by Agency
A 999 file import will limit to the Agency of the currently logged in user when finding the applicable Invoice Batch Log.
When importing a 999 Acknowledgement file into a multi-Agency system, the import will be filtered by the Agency of the currently logged in user in order to match to the Invoice Batch Log.

835 Import Validation
When an 835 file import is attempted, and the file contains "CAS Codes" which are not in the system, the "Finance File Import" will advise on the reason codes not found.
When an 835 file import contains "CAS Codes" associated with "Default Remittance Actions" which will trigger a write-off and a resubmission, the resubmission action will validate against deletion while the 835 file import can be deleted.
The system will provide the user with information about which Claim Adjustment Reason Codes are not present, so that they may be entered into the system, and user can proceed with successful 835 file batch imports.
The system will validate against attempts to delete a resubmission action which is part of multiple "Default Remittance Actions", while the 835 remittance file allows deletion.

Releasing Held Claims
When a held claim is released and written off, the GL Transactions created from the action will reflect the write off account selected.
Selecting "Release and Write Off" on a held claim will create corresponding GL Transactions to reflect the write off.

Adjustment Action On Remitted Claims
Adding an Adjustment Action to a claim writes the reversing GL Transaction entries and reverses the AR balances on the original claim.
For claims that have been adjusted, GL transactions will be added to balance the AR against the newly created Adjustment claim. The GL Transaction entries will be entered using the next open Transaction Month.

Claims With Payment Withdrawn Status
Claims that have the status of "Payment Withdrawn" can now be resubmitted using the "Calculate Rate" feature.
In Apply Receipt to Claims and myAR>Outstanding Balance, claims which have a status of "Payment Withdrawn" can be resubmitted via the "Calculate Rate" action in Submission Mode.

Releasing Held Claims
When a claim is held and the held reason is resolved, the claim will be released in the original batch upon reprocess. Please see KB0064303 on Netsmart Portal.
When reprocessing a batch which includes held claims, the hold will be released upon reprocess, when the held reason has been resolved.

An issue is resolved to ensure when the service entry form is modified with the "program event id field", the scheduled service event completed will save in the appropriate program/enrollment date grouping.

Billing Authorization Report (Dropdown)
The Billing Authorization Report "Order by Client Name Include Non-billed Services" report selection honors the "Include Expired Authorizations" and "# of Days Expired" set in System Settings/Preferences.

myAR Using Calculate Rate Functionality
The "Calculate Rate" functionality will create the resubmission of a claim where the event duration has been modified.
When a service event has been modified (duration) after billing, resubmitting the claim in myAR using the "Calculate Rate" functionality will produce the resubmission with updated amount and units based upon the duration change.

Marking Batches As Unsent on Invoice/Claim Batch Log Form
On the Invoice/Claim Batch Log form, a warning will be shown when a user is trying to mark a sent batch as 'unsent'.
On the Invoice/Claim Batch Log form, when marking a batch as "unsent", if only transactions have been applied, the system will show a warning and go ahead with marking as "unsent" if the user clicks OK. If actions have also been applied, then show a message and do not mark as "unsent".

Prevent Billed Services From Billing Again
When a Billing Payment Plan Scheme Link (BPPSL) has been used in billing and is subsequently deleted, the system will honor the "Prevent Billed Services From Billing Again" setting at Agency Setup > Agency > Agency > Agency Information.
The system will honor "Prevent Billed Services From Billing Again" when checked, and when the Billing Payment Plan Scheme Link (BPPSL) previously used in billing has been deleted.
This includes new, unbilled services that would have billed to the deleted BPPSL, as well as services previously billed to the deleted BPPSL, when a new BPPSL is created for the same contract/service.

Creating Claims For Dispensation Events
The system will create claims for dispensation events based upon multiple inventory items linked to distinct Rate Details.
When a billable dispensation has multiple transactions (multiple inventory medications in a single dispensation), and these transactions have distinct Rate Details on the Rate History, the system will bill out each with their respective rate/procedure (J Code).

Overwrite Time Chart
The system will honor the "Overwrite Time Chart" on the Rate Details when the service event information has met the criteria for the overwrite.
When the Rate Detail record has an "Overwrite Time Chart" set which differs from the Time Chart set on the Rate Settings, the system will use the "Overwrite Time Chart" when the service billed meets the criteria of that Rate Detail. Resubmitting a claim using "Calculate Rate" process will honor the "Overwrite Time Chart".

Claims Held For No Diagnosis
When a claim is not associated with a diagnosis and the Receiver/Procedure Code is configured to hold for no diagnosis, the claim will be held.
When there is an active diagnosis associate with the claim (primary, secondary, tertiary...) the claim will not be held. See KB0067114
When an active, non-Primary diagnosis is used on a service event, the claim will not be held for "No Primary Diagnosis". If no diagnosis is linked to the claim, it will be held for "No Primary Diagnosis".

Writing Off Claim Balance

Resubmitting a claim to the same or next Payer will create the service line(s) with Diagnosis Treated, Procedure Code and Modifier(s) from the previous submission.
When a single or multi service line claim is resubmitted to the same or other Payer, the system will write the Diagnosis Treated, Procedure Code and Modifier(s) to the new service lines, whether or not the resubmission is a result of a denial or a partial payment.
