Table Import Section
Import tables with any of the following information:
- The DSM IV table to populate the DSM IV Diagnosis Code table. The DSM import file is provided by Netsmart.
- An ICD9 table to populate the User-Defined ICD9 table.
- A table to populate the User-Defined Diagnosis Code table.
- ICD9 codes, and CPT codes in AMA format.
Prerequisite:
- ► Create a tab delimited file.

- Use any Windows-based word processing program. Save the document as a text (.txt) file. The file can be created in Microsoft Excel, and saved as a comma delimited text file.
- Use tab delimited (ASCII character 9) columns. Follow each column with a carriage return (ASCII character 13), and a line feed (ASCII character 10).
- DSM Table - use two section delimited columns
- User DSM Table - use nine section delimited columns
- ICD9 Procedure Codes Table - use five section delimited columns
- Follow each entry with a period.
- Use commas for blank entries.
- In the Table Type field, choose the code table to import.
- Click Select Import Format.
- An Open dialog displays. Navigate to the file, click OK.
- Click View Import File Scan Results to generate the DSM File Scan report, that details the imported file information. The report contains information on validated codes, and codes that will not be imported due to errors.
- In the Overwrite or Merge with Current Values? field, indicate whether the imported values should overwrite the current values or be merged with them.
- Overwrite - The current entries are deleted before the new values are imported.
- Merge - The new values are merged with the current entries. If the import file contains a DRG or DSM code that is already in the system, it will still be overwritten by the new value.
- Click Process Import File.
- Save your tab delimited file on the server.
- Open this form, and click Select Import File.
- Navigate to the file, click Open.
- Click View Import File Scan Results to view the import details.
- If the file import has no errors Process Import File is enabled.
Note: All errors must be corrected before the file can be filed. After correcting the file, it must be re-compiled. - Click Process Import File.
