Section or Tab Definition Section

Define sections (or tabs) for a form.

The Sort Date column must be included in a section.

  1. In the Section Definition table, click Add New Item.

  2. The Section Order field displays the form section order. Changing the section order number moves the section to a different position in the form.

  3. In the Type of Section field:
    This field cannot be changed after the section is filed.
  • Select Input, or Input Multiple Iterations to create a section that will have data elements.
  • Select Display to create a section that displays information entered in the form (Form(s) to Display field).
  1. In the Section Description field, enter the section title.

  2. In the Form(s) to Display field, select the forms. 
  • When multiple forms are selected, a field will display in the modeled form that will allow the user to select the form information to display.
  • Form bundles cannot be selected.
  1. In the Generate Subsection for First Page of Section field, select Yes to create a sub-section on the first part of the section.

  2. In the Include Page Number in Subsection field, select Yes to include the number in the sub-section.

  3. In the Subsection Override field, enter the sub-section description.

Multiple Iterations tables

These fields are active when Multiple Iterations Table is selected in the Type of Section field.

  1. In the Multiple Iterations Table field, select the table. Add/Edit Delete tables will display in a separate section.

  2. In the Multiple Iterations Parent Table field, select the table. 
  • A multiple iterations table can be associated with a primary table, or with another multiple iterations table
  • If there are several multiple iterations tables, one table must have the primary table defined as the parent table.
  1. In the Sort Multiple Iterations Grid By Specific Table Column field:

  • Select Yes to sort the multiple iterations table by a table column.
  • Select No to sort by the first column in the table.
  1. In the Table Column to Sort By field, select the column to sort the multiple iterations table by.

  2. In the Number of Multiple Iteration Grid Rows field, enter the number of multiple iteration rows to display.

  3. When finished, click Submit.
