Order Code Imports to Utilize Tallman Lettering

This article describes a 2024 planned feature delivered through the myAvatar Product Roadmap. This information is subject to change.

What are we doing?

Updating the Order Code Load process to retain Tallman/Mixed-Case lettering available within Micromedex drug content

Why are we doing it?

Mixed case lettering is often used to draw attention to look-alike drug names. Retaining the mixed case lettering when processing Micromedex data updates will assist in identifying medications that may look similar to another medication name.

How are we doing it?

The Order Code Load/Update Utility Via Micromedex Red Book Database form will be updated with new processing options allowing a facility to update all existing Pharmacy order codes to use mixed-case (Tallman lettering) or only new order codes for the update being processed.
