About the System Security Defaults form

The System Security Defaults form allows you to define myAvatar general access and security settings. You should define these requirements shortly after system installation.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • This form controls system-wide settings that affect all myAvatar users in the facility.
  • Users who are system administrators (set up in the User Definition form) have access to all fields in this form.
  • Changed settings will not take effect until the next login.
  • If you update requirements, any user whose current password does not meet the new requirements will be prompted to choose a new password upon next log in.

The Automatically Update Identity Manager Users and Daily Update Time fields are displayed for Identity Manager users. These fields allow enabling/disabling and setting the start time of the process, which automatically deactivates any Identity Manager users in myAvatar who are inactive on the Identity Manager server.

To learn more about each field on the System Security Defaults form and the results based on the settings chosen, see System Security Defaults Fields.
