Require Demographic Fields At Admission - Registry Setting

Avatar PM > Client Management > Movement Options

'Y' makes the following fields required at admission:

  • Primary Language
  • Ethnic Origin
  • Client Race

'N' makes the fields non-required.

 

This registry setting will only make the required demographic fields mandatory in the Admission and Admission (Outpatient) forms. Additional forms listed below that allow for the filing of demographic information will not be affected by this registry setting. 

  • Update Client Data
  • Discharge
  • Member Enrollment

Site Specific Section Modeling and Form Designer do not support the capability to require demographic fields, although you can hide them. During a discharge, if a demographic does change and the field is hidden, it will not be able to be updated during the discharge and would require a separate filing in Update Client Data.
