State Form File Generation
Compile and process data records to generate files as defined in the State Form Definition form.
- Go to: RADplus Utilities > State Forms Tools > State Form File Generation
- Select the state form from the State Form drop-down list.
- In the File Generation Options field, select:
- Compile – to generate a state form file for submission of information within the system, based on the state form definition.
- Run Report – to launch a report containing the results of the compile.
A report must be associated with this state form in the Report field of the State Form Definition form. If there is no report associated, the user will receive an error. - Create File on Server – to output the generated state form file in a .txt format to a user-specified location.
- Dump File – to launch a report displaying the raw data contained in the state form file.
- Run Error Report – to launch a report listing any errors/warnings encountered during the compile (or attempted compile) process.
- Delete – to delete the compiled file. Deleted files are no longer available in the Select File drop-down list.
- The From Date and Through Date fields display the start and end date used for file generation. These dates derive from the Effective From Date and Effective Through Date columns in the Define Record Tables grid of the State Form Definition form. Records whose effective date fall outside this range will be omitted. If the effective date properties are left blank when compiling the file, then all information will be picked up, rather than a specific date range.
- Entity Inclusion And Exclusion - select pre-defined entity list(s) to exclude or include a predefined list of entities. 'Include' limits the compile to only include entities in list. Exclude can be used to exclude entities in selected list from compile. Lists can be setup in State Form Entity List Assignment.
- Enter a description in the File Description field.
- The Batch Number field displays a number unique to each compiled file. The field is disabled and the number is automatically incremented with each compile.
- In the Generate Flag On Compile field, select Yes to flag each row that is processed during the compile. Flagged rows are not picked up by future compile processes, unless the flag is removed with the Remove State Form Processing Flags form.
- Only records where the Flag Processed Rows column of the primary table is set to Yes will be flagged, even if the Generate Flag On Compile field is set to Yes.
- The flags are not created until the Create File On Server action is run for the compile.
Note: Flags are not created when launching a dump file. A file must be created on the server or workstation.
- In the Select File Filter section, select the File Start Date, File End Date, and File Filters used to determine the files available for selection in the Select File field.
- In the Select File field, select a file to perform an action on.
- Click Process to perform the specified action.
