Diagnosis Table Maintenance
Manage DSM and ICD-9 tables. Use this form to associate user-defined diagnosis codes with DSM-IV codes and DRG codes to ICD-9 codes. (these codes print on insurance bills once linked.)

Prerequisites:
- DSM IV codes must be imported before the Table Import section can be used.
- Changes made in this form affect all diagnosis fields in myAvatar .
Edit Diagnosis Code

Go to: RADplus Utilities > Dictionary and Table Maintenance > Diagnosis Table Maintenance

In the Add/Edit Diagnosis Code field, select Edit Existing Code.

In the Existing Diagnosis Code field, enter the diagnosis code, click Enter to select.
Add New Diagnosis Code
- Go to: RADplus Utilities > Dictionary and Table Maintenance > Diagnosis Table Maintenance
- In the Add/Edit Diagnosis Code field, select Add New Code.
- In the New Diagnosis Code field, enter the diagnosis code (no spaces).
- In the Diagnosis Code Description field, enter the code description, using uppercase letters.
- In the Axis field, select the diagnosis code axis category for the diagnosis code.
- The ICD-9 Table section is used to enter Axis III diagnosis codes.
- In the Associated DSM Code field, select the DSM-IV code.
- The user-defined diagnosis code will be linked to the DSM-IV code. This list contains all myAvatar DSM IV codes.
- In the Associated ICD9 Diagnosis Code field, enter the associated ICD-9 diagnosis code, click Enter to select.
Result: The ICD9 code will print on insurance bills in place of the DSM code.
If the ICD9 code already is defined to another DSM code (in the 837 Inbound DSM Cross Reference Code field, on the ICD9 Table section), a message displays. - In the Start and End Date fields, enter the first and last date the DSM code is active.
- In the Active field, select Yes to enable the DSM code in Axis I and Axis II diagnosis fields throughout myAvatar .
- Click Submit Diagnosis Code to add the DSM code to the DSM-IV table.
- Click Print User DSM Table to generate the User DSM Table report, which shows details of user-defined DSM-IV codes.
- Click Print DSM Table to generate the DSM Table report, which shows details of DSM codes.
