myAvatar databases

Enter the system code and username, separated by a colon.
Example: An example for an myAvatar database is:

  • Connection Name – MYNAMESPACE
  • Connection Username – SAMPLE:MYUSER
  • Connection Password – mypassword
Third party databases

The format is determined by that vendor.
Example: An example for a Third party database SQL Server is:

  • Connection Name--SQL08
  • The Additional ODBC connection in ODBC Data Source Administrator should be named with the same port and server appended same as the Avatar ODBC Connection: SQL084972127001
  • Connection Username and Password: SQL Database connection Username and Password
  • Create the Report using the 2 DSN's the SQL connection SQL084972127001 and the Avatar connection
  • In Report Definition for the Additional ODBC connection would be SQL08 no Port or IP Address then the SQL Database credentials

Note: For Users to run the report without getting a credential pop-up box each User must have the ODBC connection to the additional database in the ODBC Data Source Administrator to the SQL Database for this example.
