About View Definition

In myAvatar and myAvatar NX, system administrators use the View Definition form to define Home, myDay, Client Dashboard, and Documentation Views and configure Workflow items. 

In View Definition:

• A myDay View for myAvatar NX is defined as a Home View.
• A Client Dashboard for myAvatar NX is defined as a Chart View.
• Home Views and myDay Views can be used as Workflow items or additional Console Views.

In NX View Definition:

• If a user is assigned to a user role and also has a view assigned to them as a user, their user definition overrides their user role definition. To revert the user to their user role settings, delete their user definition. 
• If a user is assigned to more than one user role in NX View Definition, the first (alphabetically) assigned user role's views are applied.
• The NX View Definition form is also where certain NX-specific functionality is implemented, such as assigning Quick Actions and multiple Console Views.
