Change MPI MR # - PM

Change, or specify a client ID number.

Prerequisites:

  • This form is only available for applications with MPI enabled. Facilities with MPI disabled should use the Change MR # form.

  1. In the Client ID field, enter the client name/ID and select a value from the Results list.

  2. Click the Select New MR# button to display the MPI Search.

  3. Enter search criteria to locate a client in the MPI database (search criteria are defined in the Master Patient Index Setup Definition form). If the client exists in the MPI database, select the client with the MPI MR number you wish to assign.

  • Click View Picture to view a picture of the selected client stored in the MPI database.

  • Click Report to view a report on the selected client.

  1. Click New to assign the next available MPI MR number and add the client to the MPI database.

  2. Click OK. The New Client MR# field displays the new client ID number that will be assigned when this form is submitted.

  3. Click Assign MR# to display the MPI MR number displayed in the New Client MR# field.

  4. Click the Close Form button to exit.
