Create an Orders Console
Overview
Create an Orders Console Home View for the Order Entry module in myAvatar.
Details
In RADplus 2014 Enhancement #85, Netsmart released the ability to create a Console Home View. A Console Home View is a user Home View that has been assigned multiple views. Users can switch views by clicking the appropriate view button. Widgets can be added to the views and organized workflow. Also, separate Console Home Views can be set up and displayed based on user roles.
Create an Orders Console
Below is the recommended configuration of the Order Entry console. Due to the nature of the Order Entry widget, it is strongly recommended that no other widgets be added to this view beyond the Client Information widget.
Registry Setting
You must first enable the following registry setting in order to enable the Console widgets and views.
RADplus->General->->->->Enable Console Widgets/Views
View Definition
To create a Console Home View, use the View Definition form to associate multiple views with the Home View. Complete the following steps.
- Select View to add a new view or console. The administrator should choose Add New View.
- The administrator will be required to enter a View ID and View Description. The View ID is a unique identifier for the view and must contain no spaces (i.e. ORDER_PROFILE). The view should be defined as a home view. The user can be allowed to customize the view.
The View description is what will display to the user in order to identify the console.
- Define the widgets to be included in the view. Both the Order Profile and Client Information widget can be found in the Miscellaneous section. The Order Profile widget is only available when the required middleware updates have been loaded. Named update “NTST_OE_2015_Enhancement_ConsoleInstall.GSA” is required for the Orders Profile widget.
- After submitting updates to the view you will be returned to the form. Select the user(s) normal home view (i.e. HOMEVIEWCLINICIAN_HOME) and then associate that view with the ORDER_PROFILE view.
- Make sure that the user definition or user role definition is configured to use the home view.
