Pre-Installation Checklists

A checklist to review before installing myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving.

Prerequisites:

The following items are required for proper usage of myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving:

  • RADplus 2006 or higher
  • Avatar CWS 2004 or higher
    • Prior to RADplus 2010, Web services must be enabled in the CWS namespace.
  • RADplus 2010 or higher
    • Web services must be enabled in the PM namespace.
  • RADplus 2006
    Two RADplus patches are required to install the Document Management menu form:
    • RADplus 2006 Enhancement 33 (U-96) 
    • RADplus 2006 Patch 95 (U-145)
  • RADplus 2010
    • One RADplus patch: RADplus 2010 Enhancement 36
      and
    • One CWS patch to migrate Document Management from CWS to PM: CWS 2010 Enhancement 63
  • CWS patch: NTST_CWS_2004_Enhancement_DocumentManagement_001.GSA
    • Adds the Document Management menu under myAvatar CWS (all forms except for POS Scan). 
    • Install through the Product Update and Customization Pack Installation form in CWS.
  • Middleware version RADplus Client 2006.02
    • For users who need to view PDF, DOC, and XLS, special drivers need to be installed.
    • For instructions, please refer to the RADplus 2006.02 Administration Guide to configure automatic downloading of these drivers.
  • Required for POS:
    myAvatar POS.msi installation package for myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving - POS
    NTST_Document_Imaging_Archiving_POS_Initial_Install.GSA
    • Requires a valid license key.
    • Add the POS Scan form to the Document Management menu under myAvatar CWS.
  • Required for Batch Scanning: 
    myAvatar AscentReleaseScript.msi installation package for myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving Batch Scanning
    NTST_Document_Imaging_Archiving_Batch_Scan_Initial_Install.GSA
    • Requires a valid license key
  • Required for API:
    NTST_Document_Imaging_and_Archiving_Web_Service_API_Initial_Install.GSA
    • Requires a valid license key
      RADplus 2006: this module must be installed through the CWS namespace.
      RADplus 2010: this module must be installed through the PM namespace.
