Data Trail Purge
As auditing functionality collects information on Data Trail tables, you may find it desirable to purge table data periodically. This form allows you to specify the parameters for purging.
Prerequisites:
- Prior to purging, it is recommended to first export the data from the tables to be purged so that it can be preserved for future use in a separate database.
- Most SQL/ODBC based software, including Crystal Reports, contain an export function.
-
Go to: Avatar PM > Data Trail > Data Trail Purge - Choose a date in the Purge Data Through The Following Date field.
Note: The system will clear all table data before and including this date. - In the Select The Tables You Wish To Purge field, select the specific tables to clear of data history.
Only AUDIT tables that contain data will be available for selection to purge. Tables that have been selected for Data Trail Auditing but do not have data will be unavailable. - Select Submit.
Warning: Data that is purged is permanently removed from the database.
