CSI Service Record Setup - Cal-PM
CSI Submission will compile individual services and create Service Records for any services that were rendered within the CSI episode. Setup is required for Service Records to be properly reported.
Facility Defaults
The Output Path On Server For Electronic Billing must be defined. This is the directory where CSI files are created on the workstation.
Service Code Setup
Service Required By
Services set up as Provider in the Service Required By field will not report to CSI. Services must be set up as Client Only or Both.
CSI Service Function
Within the Service Codes form, define the appropriate CSI Service Function for your service code.
A CSI service code needs a value for its Mode of Service.
If a service code is a Service Function Mode 5 type service (24-hour services - generally used for inpatient episodes), you will only need to add a value to Service Function (CSI - Mode 5). The Service Function (CSI - Mode 10) (for day services) and Service Function (CSI - Mode 15) (outpatient services) may be left blank.
Units of Time
The Service Codes field Units of Time is required for a CSI Service record to be created. The CSI units of time will be calculated based on the value and the service duration.
Program Maintenance
Mental Health Program (CSI)
CSI programs are defined in Program Maintenance using the field Mental Health Program (CSI). When set to Yes the program will require CSI data collection.
Mode of Service (CSI)
The Mode of Service (CSI) field in Program Maintenance allows you to defined the Mode of Service for your CSI program, which is a direct reflection of the treatment setting and services provided within the program. CSI Service records will only be created for the Mode of Service which the program is defined for. A Mode 10 program rendering Day Service treatment will not report Mode 05 (24 Hour Services) inpatient services.
Provider Number (CSI)
Use the Provide Number (CSI) field to define the State CSI Provider number.
