  • 'Avatar eMAR - Administration Follow-Ups Generated By Reason Code'
Avatar eMAR is enhanced to allow 'Follow-Up Reminders' for an 'Administration Event' to be generated based upon an order's 'Reason Code'. This is achieved via three new extended attributes off of the 'Reason Code Setup' dictionary (Order Entry Tabled Files, data element 504): 'Generate eMAR Follow-Up Reminders', 'Time Interval For eMAR Follow-Up Reminder (Minutes)', and 'eMAR Follow-Up Reminder Heading'. In the event that 'Follow-Up Reminders' are also set to generate based on 'Order Code' or order 'Priority', the 'Time Interval' and 'Heading' will be determined as follows: 1) If only one of the configurations has a 'Time Interval' defined, then that 'Time Interval' will be used along with that configuration's 'Heading' (if defined). 2) If more than one configuration has a 'Time Interval' defined, then the configuration with the shortest 'Time Interval' will be used if the 'Time Intervals' are not the same. 3) If more than one configuration has the same 'Time Interval' defined, but only one configuration has a 'Heading' defined, then the configuration with the 'Heading' defined will be used. 4) If the configuration based on the order's 'Reason Code' is identical (same 'Time Interval' and 'Heading') to another configuration that also calls for a 'Follow-up Reminder', then the 'Reason Code' configuration will not be used to trigger the 'Follow-up Reminder' (the other configuration will be used). Note: Avatar OE 2022 Update 72 must also be installed in order to make use of this functionality.

  • Avatar eMAR - Discontinued and expired orders will Immediately display in eMAR below active orders.
Avatar eMAR is enhanced to allow discontinued and/or expired orders to immediately sort to the bottom of the 'eMAR' orders list. This functionality can be enabled via two new registry settings: 'Immediately display discontinued orders in eMAR below active orders' and 'Immediately display expired orders in eMAR below active orders'. When this functionality is enabled, then the only situation when such orders will not immediately sort to the bottom of the eMAR main grid is when the order has any scheduled 'Administration Events' within the last two days that are being displayed in eMAR that do not have an actual 'Administration Event' recorded (successful or unsuccessful).
