ProviderConnect Sexual Orientation/Gender Identification/Veteran Field Updates
Updates are made for Sexual Orientation/Gender Identification/Veteran fields in the 'Admission' and 'Demographic' forms for ProviderConnect systems connected to Avatar Cal-PM.
The following modifications are made for ProviderConnect systems connected to Avatar Cal-PM:
- Fields 'Gender Identity', 'Gender Identity (Please Describe)', 'Sexual Orientation' and 'Sexual Orientation (Please Describe)' have been added to the 'Admission' and 'Demographic' forms.
- Field 'Are you heterosexual, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or do you question your sexual orientation?' is removed from the 'Admission' and 'Demographic' forms.
- 'Sex' field values 'Transgender (F to M)' and 'Transgender (M to F)' are made inactive.
- Fields 'Veteran', 'Military Branch Of Service', 'Military Service From', 'Military Service To' and 'Military Related Disability' are added to the 'Demographic' form.
A client data conversion process for the ProviderConnect Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation and Veteran fields in existing records is included in ProviderConnect version 2023.2.1 update. Existing client data conversion process will do the following:
- Populate 'Gender Identity' based on 'Sex'
- Convert 'Sex' code 'Transgender (M to F)' to 'Male' and 'Transgender (F to M)' to 'Female'
- Populate 'Sexual Orientation' based on 'Are you heterosexual, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or do you question your sexual orientation?'
- Store all Veteran related information by client instead of by episode
