Scenario 1: OE NX - Drug-Drug interactions on Home Medications
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Diagnosis’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console and click the 'Home Medications' tab.
  2. Search for and select "Ondansetron 8 MG Tablet Oral" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Populate all required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad].
  4. Search for and select "Amiodarone 200 MG Tablet Oral" in the 'New Order' field.
  5. Populate all required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad].
  6. Search for and select "Diflucan 150 MG Tablet Oral" in the 'New Order' field.
  7. Populate all required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Final Review].
  8. Validate the 'Interactions' dialog is displayed with the appropriate Drug-Drug interactions.
  9. Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
  10. Validate the [Final Review] dialog is displayed and click [Sign].
  11. Validate that the three new orders appear on the 'Order grid'.
  12. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  13. Click the 'Discharge Reconciliation' tab.
  14. Search for and select "Aspirin 81 MG, Tablet, Enteric Coated, Oral Tablet, Enteric Coated Oral" in the 'New Order' field.
  15. Populate all required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad].
  16. Search for and select "Warfarin 10 MG, Tablet, Oral Tablet Oral (2 Tablets 3 TIMES A DAY)" in the 'New Order' field.
  17. Populate all required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Final Review].
  18. Validate the 'Interactions' dialog is displayed with the appropriate Drug-Drug interactions.
  19. Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
  20. Validate the 'Final Review' dialog is displayed and click [Sign].
  21. Validate the 'Discharge Reconciliation' tab is in view-only mode.
  22. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.

Scenario 1: OE NX - Order Group - Default Duration in Doses - external pharmacy mode
Specific Setup:
  • An Order Group must exist that contains a pharmacy-type order code (Order Code A) with a 'Frequency' of "Twice a Day" with administration times at "09:00 AM" and "09:00 PM" and has a 'Default Duration(Doses)' of "6". (Order Group A).
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • A client must have an inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the ‘External Pharmacy Setup’ form. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "Order Group A" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Validate the 'Order Group' dialog is displayed and contains "Order Code A".
  4. Check the checkbox next to "Order Code A".
  5. Validate the 'Frequency' field contains "TWICE A DAY".
  6. Validate the 'Duration' field contains "6".
  7. Validate that [Doses] is not displayed and click [Days].
  8. Validate the 'Start Date' field contains the current date.
  9. Validate the 'Start Time' field contains the current time.
  10. Validate the 'Stop Date' field contains a date that is 6 days in the future of the current date.
  11. Validate the 'Stop Time' field contains a time that is one minute less than the 'Start Time.
  12. Select "Take with a glass of water" from the 'Instructions' field.
  13. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  14. Validate the 'Scratchpad' contains an order for "Order Code A" with a red flag in the 'Action' column.
  15. Select the order in the 'Scratchpad'.
  16. Select "Capsule" in the 'Dispense Qty Unit' field.
  17. Click [Update Order] and [Final Review].

Specific Setup:
  • A client is enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • The logged in user has an associated practitioner (Practitioner A).
  • "Client A" has an appointment scheduled for the current date with "Practitioner A".
  • The computer volume must be on.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  2. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' contains the appointment for "Client A".
  3. Right click on the appointment for "Client A".
  4. Click [Check In].
  5. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar - Check In' window is displayed
  6. Select "Yes" in the 'Notify Practitioner Of Arrival' field.
  7. Click [Current Time] in the 'Time Of Arrival' field.
  8. Click [Submit].
  9. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' contains the checked in appointment for "Client A".
  10. Click [Dismiss].
  11. Validate a message is displayed stating: "Closing the Scheduling Calendar will close any forms that were opened from the Scheduling Calendar. Are you sure you want to close?" and click [OK].
  12. Validate a message is displayed stating: "USER, your ##:## AM/PM appointment has arrived."
  13. Observe a sound notification along with the above message notifying the practitioner of "Client A's" arrival.
  14. Press the "Space bar" or "Enter" key.
  15. Validate the notification 'Confirm' dialog does not close.
  16. Click [OK].
  17. Validate the notification 'Confirm' dialog closes as expected.

  7. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.

  9. Select "Social Worker" as the 'Practitioner' filter.

Scenario 1: Patient Calendar - Validate the 'Allow Client Only Services in the Scheduling Calendar' registry setting
Specific Setup:
  • Please note: this is for Avatar NX only.
  • The 'Allow Client Only Services in the Scheduling Calendar' registry setting is set to "Y".
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • An individual service code must be defined with "Client Only" selected for 'Service Required By' in the 'Service Codes' form (Service Code A).
Steps
  1. Access the 'Registry Settings' form.
  2. Enter "Allow Client Only Services in the Scheduling Calendar" in the 'Limit Registry Settings to the Following Search Criteria' field.
  3. Click [View Registry Settings].
  4. Validate the 'Registry Setting' field contains "Allow Client Only Services in the Scheduling Calendar".
  5. Validate the 'Registry Setting Details' field contains: Use this registry setting to allow Client Only services to be selected for appointments in the Scheduling Calendar as well as via web service. Please note: this functionality is only available when using MyAvatar NX. Select 'Y' to enable this functionality and 'N' (or blank) to disable it.
  6. Validate the 'Registry Setting Value' contains "N" as the default value.
  7. Close the form.
  8. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  9. Select "Patient" in the calendar 'Filter' field.
  10. Search for and select "Client A" in the 'Patient Search' field.
  11. Validate "Client A" now displays as selected in the 'Recent' list.
  12. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' now contains available time for "Client A".
  13. Right click in any available time slot for "Client A" and click [Add Appointment].

  • The 'Coming in Today' widget must be visible from the myDay view.
  • The logged in user must have the 'All Documents' widget configured on the client dashboard.
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode and have an appointment scheduled for the current date (Client A).
  • A client must be defined in the user's caseload (Client B).
  • A Documentation View must be set up on a user's view containing the 'All Documents' widget and the 'Console Widget Viewer' (View A).
Steps
  1. Navigate to the 'Coming In Today' widget.
  2. Validate the appointment for "Client A" displays and expand it.
  3. Check "Yes" in the 'Missed Visit' field.
  4. Validate 'Service Code' field is required.
  5. Select the desired missed visit service code in the 'Service Code' field.
  6. Enter any value in the 'Notes' field.
  7. Select "Client B" from the 'My Clients' list.
  8. Click the client name in the header to launch the client dashboard for "Client B".
  9. Validate the dashboard opens and displays as expected.
  10. Navigate to the 'All Documents' widget.

Specific Setup:
  • A client must have a Treatment Plan filed with a problem, goal, objective, and intervention associated (Client A).
  • The 'Progress Notes' widget is on the HomeView for the logged in user.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Registry Settings' form.
  2. Enter "Enable Treatment Plan Grid" in the 'Limit Registry Settings to the Following Search Criteria' field.
  3. Click [View Registry Settings]
  4. Select "Enable Treatment Plan Grid" for 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' from the 'Registry Setting' list.
  5. Click [OK].
  6. Validate the 'Registry Setting Details' field contains "Enter "Y" to add 'Treatment Plan' grid field to the form. Enter "YD" to add the grid field and enable the functionality to default the previously selected treatment plan to the new row. Enter "N" to remove the field from the form."
  7. Enter "Y" in the 'Registry Setting Value' field.
  8. Click [Submit].
  9. Validate a "Registry Editor Filing" message is displayed stating: Successful filing.
  10. Click [OK].

  • “Client A” and "Client B" must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
  • "Vendor A" and "Vendor B" must have a program selected in the 'Programs' field on the 'External Lab/Radiology Definition for CareConnect' form that is not associated with "Client A", but must be associated with "Client B".
