Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • App Dashboard
  • Data Trail Configuration
  • Data Trail Purge
  • Dynamic Form - Data Trail Purge
  • SQL Query/Reporting
  • Update Client Data
Scenario 1: Avatar Data Trail supports SQL table "AUDIT.patient_demographic_history" data from the "Update Client Data" form.
Specific Setup:
  • Crystal Reports or other SQL reporting tool is required.
Steps
  1. Open "Data Trail Configuration" form
  2. Select "Option" from the "Sort Report By" field.
  3. Click [Select Tables To Audit].
  4. Navigate to "Client Information". Expand the field if needed.
  5. Expand "Update Client Data".
  6. Place a check mark in SYSTEM.patient_demographic_history.
  7. Click [OK] to accept and close the selection screen.
  8. Click [OK] on the prompt describing other tables impacted, if any.
  9. Click [Submit].
  10. Using "User Definition" form, grant permission to the logged in user for SQL table "AUDIT.patient_demographic_history".
  11. Open "Update Client Data" form for a test client.
  12. Change or update one or more fields for the client.
  13. Click [Submit].
  14. Create a query against SQL table "AUDIT.patient_demographic_history".
  15. Include the following fields:
  16. PATID
  17. audit_date
  18. option_desc
  19. Run the query and verify the tables reflect the data entered in the "Update Client Data" form.
  20. Open 'Data Trail Purge' form.
  21. Set 'Purge Data Through The Following Date' field to any date to purge through. Note that once purged, the data cannot be recovered.
  22. Select "AUDIT.patient_demographic_history" table.
  23. Click [Submit].
  24. Run the report against SQL table "AUDIT.patient_demographic_history".
  25. Verify the data is no longer displayed.
  26. Close the report.
