Edit Service Information
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Admission
  • Client Ledger
  • Diagnosis
  • Dictionary Update (PM)
  • Fast Financial Eligibility
  • Recurring Client Charge Input (Diagnosis Entry)
  • Registry Settings (PM)
  • Service Codes
  • Service Fee/Cross Reference Maintenance
  • Spreadsheet Edit Service Information
Scenario 1: Recurring Client Charge Input (Diagnosis Entry) - Field Validations - When 'Enable Multiple Add-On Code Per Primary Code Functionality' = Y.
Specific Setup:
  • Registry Setting:
  • Avatar PM->System Maintenance->Service Code Maintenance->->->Enable Multiple Add-On Code Per Primary Code Functionality setting is set to 'Y'.
  • Admission:
  • An existing client is identified or a new client is admitted. Note client id, admission program, admission date.
  • Diagnosis:
  • Diagnosis is created for the Client.
  • Financial Eligibility:
  • A guarantor identified in the 'Guarantors/Payors' form is assigned to the client as a primary guarantor.
  • Client Charge Input:
  • A service rendered to a client with an add-on service.
  • Client Ledger:
  • Make sure both service are on the ledger.
Steps
  1. Open "Service Codes" form.
  2. Click [Add] in 'Add New Or Edit Existing'. - Service Code 1
  3. Enter any value in 'New Service Code'.
  4. Enter any value in 'Service Code Definition'.
  5. Click any value in 'Service Required By'.
  6. Select any value from 'Type of Service' dropdown list.
  7. Select any value in 'Type of Fee'.
  8. Click [No] in' Is This Service An Intervention?'.
  9. Click any value in 'Designated Degree of Rounding'.
  10. Select any value from 'Group Code' dropdown list.
  11. Select any value from 'Covered Charge Category' dropdown list.
  12. Click [No] in 'Is This A Balance Forward Service Code'.
  13. Click [No] in 'Does This Code Have A Professional Component'.
  14. Click [No] in 'Is This Service A Visit'.
  15. Click any value in 'Service Code Category'.
  16. Click any value in 'Service Code Type'.
  17. Click [File Service Code].
  18. Follow Steps 1-18 and Add Service Codes - Service Code 2,Service Code 3,Service Code 4,Service Code 5.
  19. Open "Service Codes" form.
  20. Click [Edit] in 'in 'Add New Or Edit Existing'.
  21. In 'Multiple Add-On Codes' select Service Codes.
  22. Click [File Service Code].
  23. Click [Discard].
  24. Click [Yes].
  25. Open "Service Fee/Cross Reference Maintenance".
  26. Click [Enter New] in 'Enter New Or Edit Existing Fee/Cross Reference'.
  27. Enter Service Code created in above steps in 'Service Code'.
  28. Enter any value in 'From Date'.
  29. Enter any value in 'Duration Range'.
  30. Enter any value in 'Fee'.
  31. Click [Submit].
  32. Validate [Yes].
  33. Repeat steps 25- 32 for all the service codes created above.
  34. Open "Recurring Client Charge Input (Diagnosis Entry)" form.
  35. Click [Recurring Client Charge Input With Diagnosis Entry].
  36. Click [Y] in From Date.
  37. Click [T] in Through Date.
  38. Click [No] in 'Exclude Weekends'.
  39. Click [all] in 'Select Dates'.
  40. Click [Client Charge Input With Diagnosis Entry].
  41. Enter the Client ID in 'Client ID'.
  42. Select any value in 'Episode'.
  43. Enter service code created above in 'Service Code'.
  44. Enter any value in 'Practitioner'.
  45. Enter any value in 'Duration'.
  46. Enter any value in 'Diagnosis'.
  47. Click [Add-On Service].
  48. Select service code created above from 'Service Code' dropdown list.
  49. Enter any value in 'Add-on Duration'.
  50. Click [Add-on Service].
  51. Click [Submit]
  52. Click [No].
  53. Open "Client Ledger" form.
  54. Enter the Client ID in 'Client ID'.
  55. Click [All Episode] in 'Claim/Episode/All Episodes'.
  56. Click [Y] in 'From Date'.
  57. Click [T] in 'To Date'.
  58. Click [Simple] in 'Ledger Type'.
  59. Click [Process].
  60. Validate the report has both main service and add on service.
  61. Click [X].
  62. Click [No].
  63. Open "Spreadsheet Edit Service Information" form.
  64. Click [Individual] in 'Individual Or All Programs'.
  65. Select the appropriate Program of the Client defined in the setup.
  66. Enter the Client ID in 'Client ID'.
  67. Click [Y] in 'Begin Date of Service'.
  68. Click[T] in 'End Date of Service'.
  69. Click [Edit Service Information].
  70. Verify the grid does not show Add on service created in above steps.
  71. Click [Close/Cancel].
  72. Click [Discard].
