Allergies / Hypersensitivities - Quick Actions
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Allergies and Hypersensitivities
  • Quick Actions Page
Scenario 1: 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' quick action - File a Medication Allergy
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be admitted into an active episode who does not have any information filed in the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form. (Client A)
  • 'Allergies / Hypersensitivities' Quick Action must be assigned to the user's Client Dashboard in the 'NX View Definition' form.
  • The 'Require Reaction Severity' registry setting must be set to "N".
  • This is for Avatar NX systems.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and launch the 'Client Dashboard'.
  2. Navigate to the 'Quick Actions' widget.
  3. Click [Allergies / Hypersensitivities - Add].
  4. Validate the 'Known Food Allergies' field exists.
  5. Enter and select the desired medication in the 'Allergen/Reactant' field.
  6. Enter the desired date in the 'Date Recognized' field.
  7. Select "Confirmed" in the 'Status' field.
  8. Select "Yes" in the 'Known Medication Allergies' field.
  9. Select "No" in the 'Known Food Allergies' field.
  10. Select the desired value in the 'Reactions' field.
  11. Select the desired value in the 'Reaction Severity' field.
  12. Click [Save].
  13. Validate the 'Allergies / Hypersensitivities' quick action displays the current date and time.
  14. Click [Allergies / Hypersensitivities - Add].
  15. Validate the 'Known Medication Allergies' field is disabled and "Yes" is selected.
  16. Validate that the 'Known Food Allergies' field is enabled and "No" is selected.
  17. Enter and select the desired value in the 'Allergen/Reactant' field.
  18. Enter the desired date in the 'Date Recognized' field.
  19. Select "Confirmed" in the 'Status' field.
  20. Select the desired value in the 'Reactions' field.
  21. Select the desired value in the 'Reaction Severity' field.
  22. Click [Save].
  23. Validate the 'Allergies / Hypersensitivities' quick action displays the current date and time.
  24. Close the Client Dashboard.
  25. Access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form.
  26. Click [Update].
  27. Validate the allergies filed in the previous steps displayed.
  28. Validate the 'Reactions' field contains the previously filed value for both allergies.
  29. Validate the 'Reaction Severity' field contains the previous filed value for both allergies.
  30. Click [Close/Cancel].
  31. Validate the 'Known Medication Allergies' field is disabled and "Yes" is selected.
  32. Validate that the 'Known Food Allergies' field is enabled and "No" is selected.
  33. Click [Submit].
Scenario 2: 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' quick action - File a Food Allergy
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be admitted into an active episode who does not have any information filed in the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form. (Client A)
  • 'Allergies / Hypersensitivities' Quick Action must be assigned to the user's Client Dashboard in the 'NX View Definition' form.

  13. Validate the 'Allergies / Hypersensitivities' quick action displays the current date and time.
  14. Click [Allergies / Hypersensitivities - Add].
  15. Validate the 'Known Food Allergies' field is disabled and "Yes" is selected.
  16. Validate that the 'Known Medication Allergies' field is enabled and "No" is selected.

  24. Close the Client Dashboard.
  25. Access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form.
  26. Click [Update].
  27. Validate the allergies filed in the previous steps displayed.
  28. Validate the 'Reactions' field contains the previously filed value for both allergies.
  29. Validate the 'Reaction Severity' field contains the previous filed value for both allergies.
  30. Click [Close/Cancel].
  31. Validate the 'Known Food Allergies' field is disabled and "Yes" is selected.
  32. Validate the 'Known Medication Allergies' field is enabled and "No" is selected.
  33. Click [Submit].
