Client Merge
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
- Admission (Outpatient)
- Client Charge Input
- Financial Eligibility
- CareFabric Monitor
- Client Ledger
- Crystal Report Viewer
- Home Medications
- Registry Settings (PM)
- Change MR#
Scenario 1: Validate 'Client Delete' submission.
Specific Setup:
- Create a new client to test 'Client Delete'.
- Give the client a financial eligibility record and a minimum of one service.
- Use 'Delete Service (Open Service Only)' to delete all services.
- Use 'Delete Last Movement' to delete the admission.
Steps
- Open "Client Delete" form.
- Click [OK] on 'Confirm' message.
- Enter the desired value in 'Client ID'.
- Click [Display Client].
- Validate that the report opens and contains the correct 'Client Name'.
- Close the report.
- Click [Submit].
- Enter the 'Client ID' in 'Client Search'. Validate that the 'No matches found, please refine search' message is received.
- Open "CareFabric Monitor" form.
- Enter current date in 'From Date'.
- Enter current date in 'Through Date'.
- Select 'ClientDeleted' in 'Event/Action Search'.
- Click [View Activity Log].
- Click [Click To View Record] on the 'Activity Type' of 'ClientDeleted'.
- Verify that the "id" = the 'Client ID' of the deleted client.
- Click [Close Report].
- Click [Discard] and click [Yes].
Scenario 2: CareFabric support of Client Merge
Specific Setup:
- Registry Settings:
- Allow Merging Into Existing Episode = Y.
- Allow Merging Of All Client Data Through Single Filing = Y
- Clients:
- Client 1: Note the admission date, program, program code and episode number. Note other information about the client, such as services and clinical information.
- Client 2: Note the admission date and program. Note other information about the client, such as services and clinical information.
Steps
- Open "Client Merge" form.
- Select 'Client 2' in the 'Source Client' field.
- Select desired value in the 'Merge All Client Data Through Single Filing' field.
- If 'No' was selected, select the 'Source Client Episode'.
- If 'Yes' was selected, all episodes will be included.
- Select 'Client 1' in the 'Target Client' field.
- Click [File].
- Click [Yes] when the prompt "Do you wish to continue with the indicated action?" displays.
- Click [OK] when the prompt "The following episode was created for the target client indicated" displays.
- Click [Discard] and click [Yes].
- Open "CareFabric Monitor" form.
- Enter the current date in the 'From Date' field.
- Enter the current date in the 'Through Date' field.
- Set 'Event/Action Search' to 'ClientMergeCreated', 'Out'.
- Click [View Activity Log].
- Click [Click to View Record] for the 'Activity Type' of 'ClientMergeCreated'.
- Verify "destinationClientID" is equal to the target client, 'Client 1', used in the "Client Merge" form.
- Verify "sourceClientID" is equal to the source client, 'Client 2' used in the "Client Merge" form.
- Close the report.
- Set 'Event/Action Search' to 'ClientUpdated', 'Out'
- Click [View Activity Log].
- Verify that there is an 'Entity ID' entry for 'Client 1', the target client.
- Click [Click to View Record] for the 'Activity Type' of 'ClientUpdated'.
- Verify that the "ProgramCode" entry exists for all programs codes noted in setup, for both clients.
- Close the report.
- Verify that there is an 'Entity ID' entry for 'Client 2', the source client.
- Click [Click to View Record] for the 'Activity Type' of 'ClientUpdated'.
- Verify that the only "ProgramCode" entries were the programs codes for 'Client 2'.
- Close the report.
- As desired, search other items in 'Event/Action Search' and verify the results.
- Click [Discard] and click [Yes].
Scenario 3: CareFabric support of "Change MR#"
Specific Setup:
- Create a new client to test "Change MR#".
- Give the client a financial eligibility record and a minimum of one service.
- Print the 'Client Ledger' to validate the service distribution. Save the report.
Steps
- Open "Change MR#" form.
- Select desired client 'Client ID' field.
- Click [Assign MR#].
- Click [Yes] in 'Auto Assign Next ID Number'.
- Verify the 'New Client ID#' field is populated with a new client ID.
- Click [Submit].
- Open "CareFabric Monitor" form.
- Enter the current date in the 'From Date' field.
- Enter the current date in the 'Through Date' field.
- Enter the new client ID in ''Client ID'.
- Click [View Activity Log].
- Click [Click to View Record] for the 'Activity Type' of 'ClientMergeCreated' with 'Option Description' of 'Change MR#'.
- Verify 'destinationClientID' is equal to the new client number created in the "Change MR#" form.
- Verify 'sourceClientID' is equal to the original client number selected in the "Change MR#" form.
- Click [Discard] and click [Yes].
- Open "Client Ledger" form.
- Search/Select the client using the new client ID number.
- Print the ledger report and validate that the only change in the report is the 'Client ID'.
- Click [Close] and click [No].
