eMAR NX Hourly View - Navigation

In eMAR NX in the Hourly view, use the controls below the top row action buttons to navigate and view information.

Button/Control Description
Recent Vitals Selecting the Recent Vitals hyperlink launches the Recent Vitals widget which shows vital signs recorded over the past 72 hours for the selected client.
Lab Results Selecting the Lab Results hyperlink launches the Lab Results widget which shows lab results for the selected client that fit the specified filter criteria.
Refresh icon Selecting the Refresh icon refreshes the order information for the selected client.
Scan Client

Selecting the Scan Client hyperlink allows the user to override the wristband scan requirement.

Note: The Scan Client hyperlink only appears when client scanning is enabled with the Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Require client wristband scan in Avatar eMAR registry setting.

Right-facing arrow Selecting the right-facing arrow moves the displayed hours forward one hour at a time. Each selection causes the displayed hours to slide to the left, revealing a future hour not previously visible.
Right-facing double arrow Selecting the right-facing double arrow moves the displayed hours forward multiple hours at a time. Each selection causes all displayed hours to slide to the left, revealing future hours not previously visible.
Left-facing arrow Selecting the left-facing arrow moves the displayed hours backward one hour at a time. Each selection causes all displayed hours to slide to the right, revealing a past hour not previously visible.
Left-facing double arrow Selecting the left-facing double arrow moves the displayed hours backward multiple hours at a time. Each selection causes all displayed hours to slide to the right, revealing past hours not previously visible.

Each medication order row on the Hourly view contains the following headers:

Header Description
Overdue/Unscheduled

This column displays doses and follow-up reminders that were not addressed within the allowable window, along with scheduled doses that are 'Approaching Overdue' from a previous hourly column.

Unscheduled doses and follow-up reminders remain in the column for the duration of the order. The Overdue/Unscheduled column retains overdue items for the number of hours specified by the Avatar CWS->Task List->->->->Number of Hours to Display Overdue Tasks for registry setting.

Hourly
  • The time & Date display within each individual hourly column.
    • The time displays in the 24-hour or 12-hour format depending on the Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Time Format Displayed in Avatar eMAR registry setting.
  • A number count indicates how many outstanding and expected doses there are for that hour column for the displayed medication orders.
