Sliding Scale Insulin grid

Enter a blood glucose level. This level is required in order to select or enter a dosage (quantity) on the Administration Event Details dialog. A suggested dosage is highlighted with a black box around the cell, provided that the blood glucose level falls within a defined range on the grid.

Suggested dose is calculated based on the Administration Time of the event and the Blood Glucose entered. Any administration times outside the specified windows will result in no suggested dose or the suggested dose previously stated (if the administration event time was changed).

​ The blood glucose level entered here will populate automatically on the Vitals Entry form in Avatar CWS.

For administrations only, the blood glucose will be enabled and required for all sliding scale insulin (SSI) orders, regardless of the SSI value specified for the order code in Avatar Order Entry.
