Incident-To Practitioner Daily Log - PM
Allows your organization to track the time that your Incident-To practitioners were onsite at a specific location. This log is used to identify which practitioner can be assigned as an Incident-To practitioner on applicable services.
- To use this automated functionality, your organization will need to identify who will be responsible for maintaining the daily log.
- If there are breaks in time where the practitioner is offsite, those times should be recorded.
- You may enter multiple entries for the same practitioner on a given day, if the times entered do not overlap with a previously saved record for the same location.
- This form is enabled when the Enable Incident-To Practitioner registry setting is set to 'YC'.
- Go to: Avatar PM > Practitioner > Practitioner Information
- The Practitioner field displays the current practitioner, if he or she is defined as an Incident-To practitioner.
- In the Date field, enter the date that the practitioner was onsite.
- In the Start and End Time fields, enter the time range during which the practitioner was onsite.
- In the Location field, select the location where the practitioner was.
- Click File Entry to add the record.
- Click Update Charges to run a search for any open services that have an incident-to service code but no incident-to practitioner saved. These services are compared to the doctor’s log and, based upon the defaulting option selected and whether an incident-to practitioner is now found for the same date/time/location, the incident-to practitioner is added to the service. This provides an automated way to update existing services with an incident-to practitioner where none was found during charge entry. For example, this would occur when the doctor’s log was updated after the charge was entered.
