Edit Daily Log Entry Section - PM

Edit an existing daily log record for an Incident-To practitioner.


  1. In the Practitioner field, select the practitioner whose log you want to edit.
  2. In the Start and End Date fields, enter the date range that the practitioner was onsite. These fields default to yesterday's and today's date respectively.
  3. In the Location field, select all of the locations to include in the workscreen. If no selection is made, all locations are included.
  4. Click Launch Workscreen to open the Incident-To Practitioner Daily Log Workscreen.
  5. Click File Entry to update the records.
    Note: You will not be allowed to edit records that overlap with a saved log record for the same practitioner on a given day.
  6. Click Update Charges to run a search for any open services that have an incident-to service code but no incident-to practitioner saved. These services will be compared to the doctor’s log and based upon the defaulting option selected, and if an incident-to practitioner is now found for the same date/time/location, it will add the incident-to practitioner to the service. The service will also become uninhibited from billing.
    This provides an automated way to update existing services with an incident-to practitioner where none was found during charge entry. For example, this would occur when the doctor’s log was updated after the charge was entered.
