Consent For Access - PM
Create and view client consent for HIES and Referrals.
Note: This form is used in the Referrals/CCD Generation process for Meaningful Use.
- If the HIE supports 42 CFR, and the HIE is defined as Consent to Query, then all CCDs are uploaded regardless of client HIE Consent.
- If the HIE supports 42 CFR, and the HIE is defined as Consent to Send, then CCDs will be sent if the client has consent for that HIE and this field is set to either Yes or No.
- If the HIE does not support 42 CFR, and the HIE is defined as Consent to Query, then CCDs will be sent only if this field is set to No.
- If the HIE does not support 42 CFR, and the HIE is defined as Consent to Send, then CCDs will be sent only if the client has consent for that HIE and this field is set to No.
Prerequisites:
- HIE information must be filled out in the CareConnect HIE Configuration form.
- Go to: Avatar PM > Client Management > Client Information > Consent For Access
- In the Is this patient enrolled in a program that must meet 42 CFR Part 2 Regulations field, select whether or not the client is enrolled in a 42 CFR program.
- Select Yes if the client is enrolled in a program that involves substance abuse education, treatment, or prevention.
Note: It is recommended that the organization review the Consent For Access form to determine whether or not the program admitted to meets 42 CFR Part Two Regulations. - Select No if the client is not enrolled in a program that is covered under 42 CFR.
- Select Not Indicated if no indication has been made as to whether the client is covered under 42 CFR.
- Select Yes if the client is enrolled in a program that involves substance abuse education, treatment, or prevention.
- Fill out the additional sections, as appropriate.
- Select Submit.
