Day Program Attendance tracking
Use the Day Program Attendance widget to track arrivals, departures, returns, and services provided during the day for clients enrolled in day treatment programs. During the course of a day you can check in and check out clients multiple times, document multiple progress notes, and ultimately file a single service for the calculated daily duration.
Prerequisites:
- A system administrator has added the Day Program Attendance widget (NTST_CLINICDAYPROGRAM) to the appropriate views. See Manage widgets and views in View Definition for more information.
- A system administrator has properly configured the specific day program in Program Maintenance.
- In the Day Program Attendance widget, select the Program.
- Select the Practitioner. The practitioner is used during the service posting process.
Results: A list of clients in the day program displays. - Select Add New Client.
- Search and select the client from the Client column.
Note: The system must be able to file services against the selected program for the client to display in the list. - Select the episode, then select Add Client.
- Search and select the client from the Client column.
- Optional. Set defaults for all members of the Day program:
- Select the Start Time. (Defaults to scheduled start time)
- Select Default All Members to Service. (Defaults to first scheduled service)
- Select Default Start.
- In the grid:
- Modify the In time as needed.
- Enter the Out time as needed.
- Modify the Service as needed.
- Enter a Reason why a client left, returned, and so on.
Note: The reason is for reporting purposes only and does not apply to progress notes. - Select Add Appt to go to Appointment Scheduling and add an appointment to a practitioner's calendar.
- Optional. Select Remove to remove the selected row.
- Select Return. When a client has an Out time entered, an icon displays for adding a new row when the client returns.
In the new row:- The Current Time defaults to 'In'.
- The client name does not display which indicates it is a child row.
- The Length displays the number of minutes for that row.
- The Total displays the number of minutes for the selected service.
- Enter the Close Time that is the end of the day for all services.
Note: If any rows do not have an Out time entered, the Close time defaults for all open rows. - Select Complete Close.
Results:- All services are posted.
Note: Services auto-post with the scheduled Out time if Complete Close has not been filed within six hours of the scheduled end time. - Services are posted with the selected program and practitioner.
