Import Clinical Information

Import clinical data files for Health Information Exchange.

This form is used in the Referrals/CCD Generation process for Meaningful Use.

Prerequisites

  • myAvatar CareConnect must be installed.
  • A clinical information file must be created in the Create And Export Clinical Information form.

Import Clinical Information

  1. Go to: Avatar CWS > Clinical Information Exchange > Import Clinical Information
  2. In the File Location field, select whether the file to import is from the Local system, or the Server.
    • If Local, click the Select Clinical Information File To Import button to open a navigation window. Select the desired file, and click Open.
  3. In the Select Clinical Information To Import field, select the file.
    Encrypted, and unencrypted files are available.
  4. In the Reason for Import field, select the reason.
  5. In the Client ID field, enter the client name, click Process Search to select. Click Ok.
  6. In the Episode field, select the client episode.
  7. In the Provider Referred To field, enter the associated provider, and select.
  8. Click Submit.

Preview a CCD

To view the CCD files before saving:

  1. Import a Local or Server CCD.
  2. Click the Preview CCD button.
