Delete Bed Assignment - Cal-PM

Delete a client’s bed assignment.

  • The client will be returned to the previous bed assignment.
  • Bed assignments are available for inpatient and partial hospital episodes.

A client's bed assignment can be deleted if:

  • The previous bed assignment has not been assigned to another client.
  • The previous bed assignment is reserved as a standard priority by another client.
  • The client’s previous bed is reserved as a standard priority by another client, and Yes is selected in the Delete Bed Assignment Override dialog.

A bed assignment cannot be deleted if:

  • The client has one bed assignment for the episode.
  • The bed selected to be deleted is the first bed assignment of the episode (as opposed to the most recent bed assignment).
  • The previous bed assignment had been assigned to another client.
  • The previous bed assignment is reserved as a high priority by another client.
  • The previous bed assignment is reserved as a standard priority by another client, and No is selected in the Delete Bed Assignment Override dialog.

  1. Go to: Avatar PM > System Maintenance > Client Maintenance > Delete Bed Assignment
  2. In the Client field, enter the client name, click the Search button, and select the corresponding entry.
  3. In the Episode field, select the client episode.
  4. In the Bed Assignment To Delete field, select the bed assignment. This list contains all client bed assignments without an end date.
  5. Click Submit. The client is moved to their previous bed assignment.
