Enter variable per-diem adjustment information.

  1. In the Day 1 — Facility Without A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department field, enter the adjustment factor for Day 1 of the client’s stay for facilities without a 24/ 7 full-service emergency department.

  2. In the Day 1 — Facility With A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department field, enter the adjustment factor for day 1 of the client’s stay for facilities with a 24/7 full-service emergency department.

  • Either the Day 1 – Facility Without A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department field or the Day 1 – Facility With A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department field must be completed in order to submit the PPS definitions.

  • If both fields have data entered, and the Emergency Department field is set to Yes on the Adjustments by Program section, the Day 1 – Facility With A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department value is used. If both fields have data entered, and the Emergency Department field is set to No, the Day 1 – Facility Without A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department value is used.

  1. In the Day 2 through 21 fields, enter the adjustment factor from day 2 through 21 of the client’s stay in each field for the corresponding day.

  2. In the After Day 21 field, enter the adjustment factor for any days after day 21.
