Patient Account Number Maintenance - PM

Add or remove patient account numbers for a client that was admitted into the system from myAvatar PM and not the HL7 inbound ADT interface.
  1. Navigate to: myAvatar PM > New Forms > Patient Account Number Maintenance
  2. In the Client ID field, select the client to add and an account number for.
  3. In the Episode field, select the client episode.
  4. In the Action field, select:
    • Add to add an account number for this client and episode. By default, the effective date for the first patient account number filed should not be later than the admission date. This is to ensure that for any services rendered, there is an associated patient account number on file.
      • In the Effective Date field, enter the start date for this number.
      • In the Patient Account Number field, enter the number. The same account number cannot be used more than once for the same client across all episodes.
    • Delete to remove an account number for this client and episode. Deleting the current account number is not recommended. Doing so will create a disconnect between myAvatar and the registration system that could negatively impact Avatar's ability to process HL7 messages for the client.
      • In the Select Patient Account Number field, select the existing number to remove.
  5. The Account Numbers On File For Episode field displays all of the existing number associated to this client and episode.
  6. Click Submit
